5 Ways To Detoxify Your Life
Detox is a necessary component in life. It has nothing to do with these fad diets and these quick fixes. This type of detox is a lifestyle change to enhance the quality of life. To detoxify means to remove the poisonous qualities of life. When I look at the word detoxify I see toxic and I instantly think of airborne pathogens, free radicals, genetically modified organisms, and autoimmune disorders.
Airborne pathogens are particles that travel through the air. These particles create flu and strep throat. This is why boosting immunity is so important to avoid this. Free radicals are a reactive oxygen species. When there is an imbalance between free radicals and antioxidants the free radicals can cause oxidative stress. Oxidative stress can lead to accelerated aging aka advanced glycation end product and cancer.
Free radicals and genetically modified organisms can alter your DNA and cause genetic mutations. It is important to consume foods that the body can process. Nowadays everyone talks about toxic foods, toxic people, toxic products, and toxic environments, which is a very good thing. People are really seeing the effects that toxins have on the body. However I am seeing disconnections amongst the general population in terms of toxin importance.
I have come across people who will advocate for non-toxic products, but eat crappy diets. I have come across people who eat organic veggies and fruits, but still use bleach and toxic home products. I have also come across people who eat extremely healthy, use non-toxic products, but keep toxic people around them because they are fearful of letting them go. What I want people to know is that in order to completely detoxify your life you have to consistently get rid of all toxicity. Here are my 5 Ways to Detoxify Your Life below:
Cleanse Your Space
The outside world is an indication of what goes on in the inside world. If your space is cluttered then your mind is cluttered. When your mind is cluttered this is an indication that something is causing you stress and unrest. Whether you are at your desk or in your home, you want to make sure there is a clear space. Think of a cluttered space as you not being able to breather properly. Imagine you try to breathe, but your stomach is full. This is what a cluttered space creates. It creates an overcrowded environment.
When you cleanse your environment you can breathe better. For more info on how to breathe properly, read my previous blog HERE. I like to use sage and palo santo to cleanse my space first before I clean and clear my space. This cleans my auric field and any toxic juju that wants to invade my sacred bubble. I then evaluate what I still need and what could be thrown out. Many people are hoarders and they hold onto things. They hold onto material things in the outside world because in the inside world they are emotionally attached to some sort of a life changing or traumatic event.
Nutrition
Nutrition is huge! Nutrition is huge! Nutrition is huge! Yes that had to be said three times. If you want to see a change in your mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual state, then nutrition should be of utmost importance. When EYE had a spiritual awakening, it was due to me switching over to organic foods, becoming a vegan, and incorporating lots of veggies and fruits in my diet. It was as if a brand new world opened up to me. I felt euphoric, I felt peaceful, I felt like life just began for me.
I really wish people knew how much better their life could be if they allowed themselves to feel good. Food greatly impacts the way we think, feel, and act. Start by eating a big salad for lunch each day or start by eating meat twice a week until you are a vegan. Spiritual Regimen
Spirituality is THE foundation. I am spiritual meaning I follow what my spirit guides me to do everyday. I work with the Creator who some call God, which is fine, I work with angels, spirit guides, ancestors, animals, and more. Whatever works for you, do what is best for you. Namaste all day everyday. I find that having a solid spirit base helps me make it through the day with knowledge and ease. It helps prepare you for daily life.
I like to incorporate meditation into my spiritual practice as one of the first things to do when I wake up or Grand Rise. I like to make sure that I am divinely guided. Creating a spiritual routine, although the routine itself can change, is something that is going to allow you to spiritually excel. I use crystals, do reiki, and other things that make me feel really, really good.
Each day check in with yourself and say, “Do I feel really really good?” Actually as EYE am writing this EYE am listening to “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now” by McFadden & Whitehead. You can incorporate uplifting songs, such as this one into your spiritual practice to motivate you and boost you up.
Sweating
I have spoken about fevers being great for the body because they cause you to sweat out the toxins. People have different opinions on this and that is fine. This is what works for me. While fevers may feel extremely uncomfortable, they do aid in toxin removal and are the body’s natural response. When I get a fever I run. It sound so weird I know, but it helps me. I will do a full fitness training session with a fever because I know I am going to sweat.
Sweating is good for the body.It helps the body flush out unwanted waste and cleanses out the lymphatic system. I have a real problem with these companies that create these deodorants that contain antiperspirants. The body is made to perspire. This cleanses the lymphatic system and nourishes the lymph nodes. So many deodorants contain aluminum and other synthetics that cause the body not to be able to do its job. It is really messing with the integrity of creation. I have no respect for these companies or the people who promote this toxic, deadly garbage.
Reading + Listening
Reading blogs, such as this one that is going to expand your mind will allow you to remove toxic thoughts from your mind. Reading books that boost your confidence, motivate you, encourage you to create discipline within your life are a must. Reading and my intuitive knowledge is what caused me to realize how having toxic people in my life could severely impact my health. In fact when I shared my story about my journey with Leukemia I discussed how I was in some toxic situations.
Once I removed people from my life and myself from toxicity I started to feel better. No they did not make me sick, but they also were not healthy for me. I always take accountability. You can listen to that episode HERE. I picked up food addictions and was very depressed due to circumstances. I so badly want you to realize that you are worth it, but you have to want that for yourself. If you feel like your energy plummets around an individual, get them the fuck out of your life. Stress causes so many illnesses. They are not worth the aggravation.
I started listening to podcasts back in 2015 and it helped me with self-improvement. I started my podcast in May and it is amazing to give back what I took away from the first podcast I listened to. People really take my advice and implement it, which I am happy to see. It is my purpose and the advice comes from spirit. I also adhere to that advice. Remember to always check in with how you feel.Remove whatever and whoever needs to be removed to improve quality of life.Cleanse your mind, body, spirit, and soul so you can flow freely and remain in YOUniverse. Create a solid regimen that you can stick to that is going to help your spiritual growth, to bring abundance into your life. Make sure you get your lymphatic system moving every single day with some form of exercise so more oxygen can be sent to the blood and to your cells. Improve your nutrition for your mental and emotional health needs. Nutrition improves the way you think, feel, act, and gives your skin an amazing glow. Let us all eat healthy to prevent disease. Read and listen to people who can enlighten you to enlighten yourself. The true work begins within you. You are the creator of your life. LISTEN to people who can help you and act as a mentor.
