Hailee is a preschool teacher who struggled with being comfortable in her own skin, traumatic experiences, and unhealthy eating habits. Her biggest issue that led her to working with me was social anxiety.
Taking up space and feeling good enough was overwhelming for her and she would self-sabotage. Food was her way to cope with the stress and the anxiety because she didn’t know how to address and eliminate these issues.
She tried to make other people happy by being who they wanted her to be, but this left her feeling drained because she put herself last. Much of her trauma happened when she was young and due to that she developed toxic habits to help her heal.
Her traumatic experiences made her distrustful of people and her social anxiety stemmed from this wound. It was a protective mechanism for her.
As she got older simple tasks that could lead to success became difficult for her to complete because she didn’t feel deserving of an accomplishment. The feeling of achievement frightened her because all she wasn’t used to it.
In the moment right before Hailee started working with me, she was stressed, working 3.5-hour shifts, and going to school. It was difficult for her to be around people all the time until I helped her get to the root cause of her wounds.
She was given in-depth, thought-provoking worksheets, and action items that would aid her in a gradual, yet strategic fashion to heal. She chose to work with me and go the holistic route because she has gone to traditional therapy before and didn’t see profound results.
My holistic and spiritual approach to helping her get rid of chronic stress and trauma pulled her in and what sets me apart from traditional therapy. She saw results in a quicker time span because the goal was for her to have a transformative experience.
Hailee reached out to work with me via email and scheduled an appointment. I met with her once a week for 30 minutes over the phone.
She was given the opportunity at the beginning of her appointment to let me know what issues she wanted to address and then I would provide solutions for each one.
Then she was given action items and worksheets that coincided with the session so she can target the problem and get to the root cause head on. Hailee went through a plethora of emotions throughout her journey working with me.
She would feel excited one week and ready to implement what we discussed and then other weeks she would have a celebration to attend where she felt pressured to eat toxic foods and drink toxic drinks.
So, there were times where she felt as though she was starting from scratch, and she enjoyed the fact that I didn’t make her feel bad. Instead, she was redirected to healthy, plant-based foods, and protocols to help her with her people-pleasing tendencies.
After Hailee was finished with her sessions, she went on to lose 30 lbs. in the three months I worked with her. She learned to prioritize her mental, physical, and spiritual needs more than ever before, and now shares her experiences on video to people publicly.
