I Don't Have Time To Cook [I can’t fit meal prep in my schedule]

I remember being in college and working.  The last thing I wanted to do was make meals.  I went to the closest drive-thru for every single meal.  If it wasn’t the drive-thru, it was a restaurant. I loved the shrimp sampler from Ruby Tuesday’s.  It was my late night go-to.  Actually I would look forward to finishing my night classes just so I could crunch on those fried shrimp and dip them in those assorted sauces.  They were super yum, yum at the time.

I knew nothing about nutrition.  I figured well as long as I am putting something in my stomach it did not matter what I was eating.  I know how it is to be busy and have meetings, classes, performances, homework, teaching, lesson plans, and more. Where is the time to cook right?  Well that is where you come in.  I am still a busy, productive person, and I have time to cook.  How do I have the time to cook?  The time has to be made.  I realized when I was in college that I had time to watch television, time to go shopping, time to go get my hair done, but for whatever reason, I did not have time to prepare my meals.

I’ll let you in on a little secret.  I had time the entire time, but preparing my meals was not viewed as important to me.  As mentioned, I knew absolutely NOTHING about nutrition.  I didn’t see the point.  I had the mentality of as long as I was putting something in my stomach I was nourishing my body.  As a matter fact I thought, “I am hungry so I am going to eat whatever I want.” Many people have this mentality because they are not aware of how food can greatly impact their health for the negative or the positive.  Preparing healthy meals is not deemed as important.

Preparing your own meals should be of utmost importance.  This actually took some time for me to uncover just how important this was.  It took some research and holistic health knowledge to bring me to this point.  I am willing to share that with you. I don’t want you to have health problems like I did to where you can’t even work because you are sick.  I know I know you have heard this many times before, but it is true, you are what you eat.  That shrimp sampler I used to love is loaded with so many toxic ingredients.  They were also fried so they are rich in acrylamides.

Acrylamides contribute to cancer and other illnesses.  Sure you can go and order your meals, but you have no idea what any of your food is being cooked in.  You can save funds and support your health by making your meals yourself.  You can have better quality of life.  What is a life without you in it? Eventually I got tired of always going out to eat and go to the drive-thru.  I missed homemade meals.  You do not have to have any cooking experience at all.  I repeat, you do not have to have any cooking experience at all to make meals healthy.  I remember when I switched over to eating healthy.

I felt completely overwhelmed.  What helped me was reading health books that had recipes in them.  Those recipes lightened the load.  They were well written and extremely easy to follow.  I even became excited every single time I went to make something.

Believe me I get how busy one can be and how nutrition can be at the bottom of the list when it comes to a fast-paced lifestyle.  This is why I created the FREE “3-Day Quick Weight Loss Reboot Guide”.  It has simple, easy, and quick recipes that are done for you so you can meal prep in no time, all while looking fabulous.  Grab the guide HERE. Remember to make the time for your meals.  Your nutrition comes first.  Take the time spent on shopping or watching television and set a meal prep timer instead.  Think of meal prep time as the amount of time it takes to play 5 songs on a playlist or 30 minutes of the show “Monk”.  How can you better utilize your time to support your health goals?  I did it and you can too.  Make sure you grab that guide and let it help you reach your weight loss goals.
